After reviewing the dual camera variant of Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie, here I’m reviewing the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro. In India, it’s sold at Rs. 23,999 exclusively via Flipkart. Here goes my review:
In the Box Contents:
- Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro with Android Nougat and ASUS ZenUI 4.0
- ASUS ZenEar with microphone
- Micro-USB cable
- Ejector pin (SIM tray needle)
- USB power adapter
- Documentation (user guide, warranty card)
- Clear soft bumper (optional)
This device features metallic uni-body design. No doubt, the device looks premium from every angle. The position of volume and power buttons is at right side as most of the devices have it nowadays. Great thing about this device is that it correctly fits into the hand and it is pretty lightweight (147g weight).
Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro comes with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass for screen protection. It comes with 5.5″ Full HD (1920×1080) AMOLED display with 76.7% screen-to-body ratio. The touch panel is capable of 10-point multi-touch. As most of the Asus Smartphones, this device also comes with Blue-light filter for eye care. The fingerprint sensor is located on bottom front which is not clickable with up-to 5 different fingerprint support. The response time is very quick. This device comes with 3.5mm audio jack.
This device features 16MP Sony sensor at rear with LED Flash. On the front, It has two sensors, First one (Main selfie camera) is Sony IMX362 12MP dual pixel image sensor with f/1.8 aperture which uses 24MP* DuoPixel camera technology and it can shoot up-to 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) selfie video. Second one (Second selfie camera) is 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture which is 120 degree wide. The result of Main Selfie Camera and Rear Camera is pretty well in lighting conditions. Color and dynamic range is also good. In low light conditions, Main Selfie Camera can able to take good shots. Camera filters provided by Asus seems good too. I’ve uploaded some sample shots below.
Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 64-bit Octa-core Processor and Qualcomm Adreno 506 GPU. Which is paired with 4GB of Ram. It comes with 64GB of Internal Storage which can be expanded via MicroSD card. Battery backup was good, I was able to get 5 hours of screen-on-time on 4G. The device took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to charge from 11% to 100%. (with supplied charger)
The space we get out of the box is approximately 51.18 GB. For one thing I would like to thank Asus, is for providing backlight buttons in this device, I was asking for it since almost 2 years. For a normal user, device is smooth and fast enough. Even for the advanced user, this device wouldn’t disappoint, specifically in the camera department.
It comes with Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Asus’ ZenUI 4.0. The always on feature on lock screen works greatly. And it doesn’t seems to be taking much battery consumption that’s what I like.
Final Verdict on Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro
For specifically selfies or I would say Portrait mode, the device performs well. But there are some devices available in the market which comes with almost same specs and with lesser or equal price tag.
Thanks to Asus India for sending me a review unit of Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro.
